VILLAGE OF SOUTH BEND
Trustees Meeting
February 4, 2004


The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session January 7, 2004 at 7:00 PM at the Village Hall. Board Members present were: James Cerveny, Connie Boldan-Cerveny, Dave Mahrt, and Chairman Patrick Cunningham, absent was John Adsit.

The meeting notice was posted at Village Hall, Post Office, & Fuel Depot.

The minutes of the January meeting were read and approved, motion by D. Mahrt, 2nd by J. Cerveny, Vote all Aye.

Treasurer’s report was read. Bills presented for the Road Fund $165.44 OPPD (Street Lights), $750.00 Gerald Snodgrass (snow removal Jan 4, 26 & 27, Feb 2 &3), $150.00 JEO (Preparation of street budget). Bills presented for the General Fund $10.71, OPPD (Town Hall Lights), $43.77 Plattsmouth Journal, $40.00 Deb Cunningham (Administrative Fees), $5.00 Bradly Cunningham (snow removal), motion to pay the bills by D. Mahrt, 2nd by J. Cerveny, Vote all Aye. 

Motion by C. Cerveny to move into Public Hearing at 7:10 p.m., 2nd by D. Mahrt. Motion by D Mahrt to close public hearing at 7:12 p.m., 2nd by J. Cerveny.

RESOLUTION #1-04

The following resolution was introduced by Connie Boldan-Cerveny, who moved its adoption, seconded by James Cerveny,

“WHEREAS, the City Street Superintendent has prepared and presented a One Year and Six Year Plan for Street Improvement Program for the Village of South Bend, Nebraska, and 

WHEREAS, a public meeting was held on the 4th day of February, 2004, to present this plan and there were no objections to said plan;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Chairman and Village Board of Trustees of South Bend, Nebraska, that the plans and data as furnished are hereby in all things accepted and adopted”

Vote yes: Connie Boldan Cerveny, James Cerveny, David Mahrt.

Building Permits: None

Revised Lower Platte River Utility Board Agreement motion by C. Cerveny to sign 2nd by D. Mahrt.

Planning Committee Report: No Report 

Inspections Conducted: Report read.

Need copy of Mail Box Key made.

Request for 15 minute parking signs for in front of Post Office motion by D. Mahrt for 50’ 2nd by J. Cerveny.

Correspondences: Morten Law Office is reducing his per hour legal fee for the Village.

JEO questionnaire motion by D. Mahrt to have C. Cerveny to fill out the questionnaire 2nd by J. Cerveny

Cass County Dept. of Roads responds to Street Superintendent, they can not save us any cost at this time combing with the County.

Next Regular Board Meeting Wednesday, March 3, 2004
