VILLAGE OF SOUTH BEND
Trustees Meeting
June 9, 2004
The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session June 9, 2004 at 7:00 PM at the Village Hall. Board Members present were: James Cerveny, Connie Boldan-Cerveny, Dave Mahrt, and Chairman Patrick Cunningham, absent was John Adsit.
The meeting notice was posted at Village Hall, Post Office, & Fuel Depot.
The minutes of the March meeting were read and approved, motion by D. Mahrt, 2nd by J. Cerveny, Vote all Aye.
Treasurer’s report was read. Bills presented for the Road Fund $165.57 OPPD (Street Lights), $150.00 Gerald Snodgrass (gravel), $387.51 ADR Farms (gravel hauling), $1,103.80 Western Sand & Gravel (gravel), $224.86 Western Sand & Gravel (gravel). Bills presented for the General Fund $10.81, OPPD (Town Hall Lights), $242.00 Ashland Disposal (town clean-up), $40.00 Deb Cunningham (Administrative Fees), motion to pay the bills by C. Cerveny, 2nd by D. Mahrt, Vote all Aye.
Building Permits: Lot 117, North Lake Garage with apartment over it. Motion by D. Mahrt to pass once the board sees Elevation Certificate, needs flood gates, must be set back 25’ from the front, and all electrical work must be above flood plane, 2nd by C. Cerveny, vote all Aye. Garage at Middle Island motion by D. Mahrt to pass once flood gates has been checked on, 2nd by J. Cerveny, vote all Aye.

New Business: A & A Fireworks is asking for permission to sell fireworks at 210 Pine Street. Motion by D. Mahrt to allow, 2nd by J. Cerveny, vote all Aye. Motion by C. Cerveny to put a bid in the paper for scraping, cleaning and painting of the Town Hall, 2nd by D. Mahrt, vote all Aye.
