VILLAGE OF SOUTH BEND
Trustees Meeting
November 1, 2006

The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session November 1, 2006 at 7:00 PM at the Village Hall. Board Members present were: Connie Boldan-Cerveny, James Cerveny, Brad Graham, and Chairman Patrick Cunningham, absent was Dave Mahrt.
The meeting notice was posted at Village Hall, Post Office, & Fuel Depot.
It was noted where the “Open Meetings Act Poster” is posted.
The minutes of the October meeting was read and approved, motion by B. Graham, 2nd by J. Cerveny, Vote all Aye.

Treasurer’s report was read. Bills presented for the Road Fund $170.16 OPPD (Street Lights). Bills presented for the General Fund $14.45 OPPD (Town Hall Lights), $23.14 Plattsmouth Journal, $220.00 Ashland Disposal (Town Clean-up), $50.00 Deb Cunningham (Administrative Fees), and $49.35 Pat Cunningham (Tire Disposal) motion to pay the bills by B. Graham, 2nd C. Cerveny, Vote all Aye.

Building Permits: None

Planning Committee: No Report

Inspections Conducted: No Report

Town Hall: Motion by B. Graham to except the proposal by Derby’s Heating and Air, Inc. to replace the heater, which is not working, with a Tempstar heater/air conditioner, 2nd by C. Cerveny, vote all Aye.

Motion by B. Graham to table the roofing job until March 2nd by J. Cerveny, vote all Aye.

No report on the cost to repair the tractor.

Cemetery Board: No Report

Town Clean-up: Village spent $289.35 on the town clean-up which was offset with a grant from Sarpy/Cass Dept. of Health & Wellness for 2006 West Nile Virus Prevention program. The Village removed 70 tires from the community.
New Business: Work to begin on the Hazardous Migration and Flood Litigation plans. Survey was sent for Clean Water Project. Motion by B. Graham to contact Gerald Snodgrass on doing monthly grading of village roads, 2nd by C. Cerveny, vote all Ayes.

Correspondences: Received Thank You from Ellen McKinstry for her retirement party. Sarpy/Cass Dept. Health have free radon gas testing kits. League of NE Municipalities sent out the highway Commission Proposed Rules. Election commissioner sent copies of ballets.
